Susan Bradford | Potter
Many makers have a unique story that leads them to their craft and Susan is no different. She has learned many skills through her 30-year career designing children’s clothing, hand-painting furniture and doing interior design which reflects in her pottery which is just as functional as it is beautiful. She learned pottery about 5 years ago after taking a course and it wasn’t long before she was hooked and inspired by the colors, textures and shapes that she could make with clay. Susan’s love of pottery is expressed clearly in her pieces which are well-made, naturally balanced and reflect the earth tones we know and love. Beyond the pure beauty of her pieces we are often blown away by the many unique and creative ways she makes with clay producing a wide range of goods for the home. This is Susan’s third year participating in SLOcally Made and her first as a core maker and we are so excited to see what she brings to the market this year!
