How would you describe your business?
I design and handcraft one-of-a-kind and limited production jewelry with an emphasis on natural gemstones and organic shapes.
How did you get into your trade?
I majored in Fine Art/Photography, and worked in visual display for years. I've been a travel writer, professional chef, and most recently a travel agent. What started as a hobby turned into a side hustle, then eventually my full-time job!
Working as a maker on the Central Coast can be hard, expensive, and risky. Why do you do it?
Being creative is like breathing... I just do it without thinking and I couldn't survive without it! Anything worthwhile is usually risky, but I slowly worked my way up to becoming a full-time maker. I genuinely believe the saying that, “If you do what you love, you'll never work and day in your life” however, I work all the time... I just don't think of it as "work"!
