How would you describe your business?
I am an abstract impressionistic painter painting on canvas and reclaimed wood.
How did you get into your trade?
I fell in love with creating from an early age. I gleaned inspiration from a creative family and became purposeful in setting the path to become a professional Artist. In pursuing this early passion, I learned the discipline and technique while studying Art and Photography at Biola University. Fast forward many years, two states and two kids later, it’s being here on the Central Coast that has blossomed my career and strengthened my journey.
Working as a maker on the Central Coast can be hard, expensive, and risky. Why do you do it?
I left my corporate high heels behind the moment I learned that dried paint under my fingers nails was frowned upon. Defining moments in my early years revealed to me that joy is rooted when with the mind and heart connect. Today, my life’s purpose became about my passion and that’s here—living my best life on the Central Coast.
